Mirrors in Feng Shui: The Double-Edged Sword
Mirrors are the most powerful Feng Shui tool — and the most misused. They double whatever they reflect, good or bad.
Where to Place Mirrors
| Location | Effect |
|---|---|
| Dining room (reflecting the table) | Doubles abundance |
| Entryway (side wall, not facing door) | Expands welcoming energy |
| Dark hallway | Brightens and activates chi |
| Bedroom (inside closet door) | Hidden when sleeping, available when needed |
Where NOT to Place Mirrors
- Directly facing the front door (bounces good energy back out)
- Reflecting the bed (disrupts sleep and relationships)
- Reflecting clutter or a messy area (doubles the mess)
- In the kitchen (reflecting the stove creates fire element overload)
- On the ceiling (creates unstable, anxious energy)
Before hanging any mirror, ask: "What will this reflect?" If the answer isn't something beautiful, move it.
