Desk Position: The Command Position at Work

Just like in your bedroom, your office desk should be in the command position. You should be able to see the door without being directly in line with it. If you can't move your desk, place a small mirror on your desk so you can see behind you.

Desk Feng Shui Checklist

  • Desk backed by a solid wall (not a window or walkway)
  • Clear view of the door and entrance
  • Left side of desk = Green Dragon (action, movement) — keep this area higher with stacks of papers, a lamp, or phone
  • Right side of desk = White Tiger (stillness, support) — keep this area lower and quieter
  • Center = open space for clear thinking

Colors for Career Success

The Career area uses the Water element. Colors: black, dark blue, charcoal gray. Add metal element colors (white, silver, gold) since metal produces water in the five-element cycle.

Your desk is where you spend 8+ hours daily. A few minutes of Feng Shui arrangement can improve focus, creativity, and career momentum.
